We have a great opportunity for a Product Specialist – Retrofit Engineer within our Motion Control team. This will be an independent location role and will be focused on technical sales.

This is a dynamic customer facing role where you will take on the sales responsibility to ensure client satisfaction and retention whilst maximising our profitability, revenue and growth.

  • Delivery of the CS MC Retrofits ensuring that our financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Attend customer sites to discuss, develop Retrofit opportunities and to win new orders and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring that quotes are provided, in a timely manner, that these formal quotations and proposals are based on the technical requirements and specifications of our customers and that all quotations are followed up.
  • Create real value for our customers through customer driven innovation by understanding their business requirements through regular contact such that strategies and plans are implemented ensuring that we are offering the best solutions.
  • Take ownership of delivering customer retrofit projects and act as the main point of contact for generating our response within an appropriate timescale as agreed with the customer and that these are in line with our MC CS Processes.
  • Provide project management for Retrofit projects and ensure that a strong collaborative working relationship is built with internal colleagues, sub-contractors, third parties and the customer associated with these projects.

  • For this role we are looking for a proven individual who has and can demonstrate previous experience in delivering modernisation and retrofit projects.
  • Experience in fault finding, commissioning and maintenance of the appropriate SIEMENS DI products.
  • Demonstrates a broad range of experience and application knowledge in various industrial settings.
  • Whilst this role may be of primary interest to individuals with project management or engineering experience, there is also a need for candidates to use their technical knowledge in a sales role. We are therefore looking for a determined, enthusiastic and self-motivated Engineer who has excellent communication and relationship building skills and the relevant product knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation skills, applications, market and competition knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation are essential.
  • Be able to demonstrate that they can work under pressure and to work on their own initiative and as part of a team is also an essential requirement.
