Your journey at Siemens Healthineers:
As a Design Engineer in the Molecular Imaging Research & Development team, you will be embarking on a journey where you will be learning to develop and maintain products of scale, experiencing the challenges of Product Line Engineering. You will be contributing to areas such as:
Design and development of Molecular Imaging - PET/SPECT components and products.
Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).
Work on 3D designs, drawings and technical documentation for the medical products, equipment, subsystems and its interfaces.
Designing systems and components that meet needs and functional requirement specifications.
Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs.
Analyze the exisitng design and propose improvements/cost-effective solutions.
Apply GD&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis for components/Sub-system.
Develop concepts for module/sub-system in accordance with the design specifications using Siemens-NX.
Perform verification/validation activities for design modifications.
Work on assembly drawings and documentation packages for products and equipment.
In this role, you will be able to work in the global team setup and bring about the changes that will enable Healthcare Providers worldwide to better diagnose and treat the patients for diseases such as Cancer.
Knowledge and Capabilities you would need:
Proficient in using any 3D Modeling software (Siemens NX preferred).
Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar).
Good at hand calculation of the mechanical components to find out strength/deflection etc.
Knowledge of latest engineering design practices, tools, and processes.
Demonstrated innovation capability.
Exposure to Microprocessors and Microcontrollers or general embedded programming would be useful.
Knowledge of FDA and IEC Standards is a plus
