The Role

The Country Business Segment Finance Manager for the US Future Grid business is responsible for the full P&L ($40M) and all finance related activities, risk management and accuracy of books & records. Together with the FG US head, the incumbent sets strategy, manages the P&L and drives business results.

The Country Business Segment Finance Manager has 2 direct reports and leads the organization in financial planning & analysis, contract administration, commercial project management and procurement 

This position location is flexible and reports to the global FG CFO and locally to the RC-US DS Head of Finance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive business results by pro-actively identifying opportunities for business process and finance improvements and ensuring timely execution.
  • Serve as close Advisor and Business Partner to the global FG CFO in all questions related to financial performance, financial risk management, and compliant business operations while executing the FG business strategy.
  • Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely completion of all accounting, financial statements and reporting, and other finance-related operations in line with quality standards and within internal requirements.
  • Report financial performance and progress on key initiatives to the global FG CFO and local management on regular basis.
  • Serve as key contributor in the Business Performance management process by providing financial transparency on business activities, insightful analyses and targets, predictions, or models on future business development.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and high reliability in all delivery KPIs.
  • Support all business functions with financial planning, reporting and analyses, as well as state-of-the-art IT infrastructure & tools to ensure business continuity and drive digitalization and automation of all internal processes.
  • Display agility and resilience to effectively lead a team within a changing environment, always looking for improved team dynamics, cost savings, and innovative approaches to leading a sophisticated business.
  • Lead, motivate, coach and develop team of financial professionals to deliver business results and drive employee productivity and engagement.
  • Build and maintain trustful relationships with key stakeholders in the worldwide matrix organization.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Education*

  • Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent
  • 10+ years business experience
  • Proven track record managing P&L and successful performance in a project business
  • Experience leading large teams and driving high performance culture
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a multi-national environment and a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the organization to think and act in ways that enhance efficiency and effectiveness while encouraging new technologies and how work is done
  • Excitement and drive for change while being empathetic to a successful organizations’ culture
  • This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.

*Consideration will be given to candidates with long-term experience in finance in lieu of degree.
