  • What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:
    The fire sprinkler fitter apprentice position assist in the repairs and Installation associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Install, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Follow and maintain highly structured schedules
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed. Generate reports within Siemens digital tools
  • Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site
  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training
  • Work overtime when needed
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role

Qualification Requirements:

  • Willing to become or a member of the UA Local Union  
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

 This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Fire Life Safety or Fire Protection Industry
  • Experience as a service technician in a field service capacity.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
