We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Smart Infrastructure business unit for an experienced and motivated Senior Business Development Manager. The role will be responsible for the Energy & Performance Services (EPS) part of our business nationally.
Based out of our Sydney offices, reporting to the Business Unit Head, this role will be responsible for the growth targets in the EPS portfolios across the Australian and New Zealand markets. These portfolios are primarily focused on demand side solutions such as energy performance contracting, energy efficiency upgrades and guaranteed energy savings solutions, with a peripheral focus on supply side solutions such as renewables, electrical balance of plant, battery storage and microgrids.
The primary function in this role is to achieve annual sales growth targets with a focus on generating new profitable customers for Siemens. You will be required to proactively select, collect & communicate customer/competitor information required to improve market transparency and to identify potential new customers, fostering relationships within the Mechanical, Electrical, Building and Property sectors.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Performing all required EPS Sales activities for QLD, VIC & NSW including;
- Evaluating customer requirements and developing a solution to meet those requirements
- Preparing and submitting offers to customers
- Negotiating offers with customers
• Be the customer advocate within the Siemens organisation, taking responsibility for all customer activities ensuring a timely and positive outcome
• Perform sales administration tasks such as forecasting and reporting, pipeline management, CRM management etc.
You will also be required to set up bid and tender projects, from the commercial & project execution bid part, through to the technical element and final bid composition. This will be achieved by working closely with Senior Sales Executives & Project Managers, ensuring a clear, attractive, and competitive customer value proposition.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a Certificate/Diploma in a technical and/or commercial discipline, have experience in a selling role and be able to demonstrate a successful track record. It is essential that you have demonstratble experience with Energy Performance Contract, Energy Efficiencey Upgrades, and Guarenteed Savings Projects.
You will also have a technical appreciate of the Energy, Building Controls and Automation sector, ideally with some Mechanical, Electrical, Building or Property industry experience. The ability to communicate effectively and be able to build strong relationships at all levels internally and within customer organisations is essential. Some people management experience is desirable.
