Test automation Lead

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
• Non-Product Software analysis and testing
• Products analysis and testing.
• Analyzes requirements
• Creates test plans and test cases based on requirements.  
• Executes test plans and create reports 
• Documents anomalies and maintain database for tracking defects and historical analysis. 
• Perform Test Lead responsibilities (test management, DHF coordination) for assigned projects. 
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Knowledge of mobile tech (Android), and web testing
• Basic Knowledge of Python\Java (or other scripting languages)
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience with software testing methods (validation, verification, white box, black box, integration, etc…)
• Experience with detecting, reporting and tracking software defects
• Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Demands
• Developing software for the medical industry demands activities specific to a regulatory environment.
• Embedded, PDA, and desktop application environments (PocketPC, PC, potentially others).
• Developing test libraries and test strategies for new applications, using new data acquisition devices.
• Well organized work habits with attention to detail.  
• Good written communication skills.
• Innate attention to detail.  
• Self-directed time and task management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively based on the application that is being validated.
• Enthusiastic and able to interact with departments and personnel at all levels.
• Strong team player and provide support to other Project Leads
• Ability to meet rigorous deadlines and stay within quoted timelines. 
• Ability to do project scheduling, and status reporting

Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience)
• Bachelors’ degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience acceptable
• 10 or more years related experience
• Medical environment experience is preferred.  Successful candidate will be trained in software lifecycle development activities
• Detailed knowledge/experience with testing approaches and methodologies
• Knowledge of the Test Management software would be helpful.
• Experience with tools integration
• Excellent knowledge of Operating Systems, computer peripherals, including excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong knowledge of servers, security and communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), routers. 
• Good understanding of embedded and multi-platform application environments (PocketPC, PC
