Shift Hours:  This is a 1st shift position.

Shift hours are: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Hours and or days may be adjusted based on business needs.  Training may require different hours of work; the ability to accommodate these needs is required.  Overtime is required based on business needs.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Production Set-Up Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

Performing a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas:

  • Set-up, calibration, and repairing high volume filling and packaging machinery.
  • Assists in resolving routine manufacturing equipment related problems affecting daily operations.
  • Recording maintenance activities in Cal PM software application
  • Communicate line performance at daily huddles

The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously or in small groups.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, fluidic and basic electronic control systems.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Must be able to follow and adhere to written work instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication to others on a daily basis
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously or in small groups
  • Training may require different hours of work; the ability to accommodate these needs is required. Overtime is required based on business needs.

Preferred Skill & Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and machine shop equipment
  • Experience with personal computers, including typical office applications
  • 1-3 years experience setting up, maintaining, and repairing high volume filling and packaging machinery
