Job Description

Position Overview

As part of the Siemens Digital Commerce and Operations (DCO) organization, this position makes significant contributions towards the delivery of customer-centric buying experiences.  As digital commerce continues to grow in importance, it is increasingly urgent to provide an intuitive, guided path through product exploration, selection, purchase, and delivery. This position will take ownership of providing our customers with a frictionless journey. Reporting to the Head of DCO Product Management, you will be responsible for working in agile-based scrum processes with customers, product owners and development persons to define, plan, deliver, and continuously improve the DCO buying experience.

Purpose of the Role:

The primary function of this job is to provide the definition of an optimized customer experience through the Siemens DCO software buying experience.  DCO needs dedicated leadership to define and deliver intuitive paths for our customers to understand the range of product options available, make product decisions, and provide the information necessary to complete the purchase and deliver the product. This role will work closely with various product owners across multiple Siemens business units to understand the requirements of the purchase process and to define and collaborate on the implementation of the customer experience.  The role will require creativity, design best practices, human factors, and understanding of UI capabilities, to define a roadmap of CX deliveries to enable an optimized buyer’s journey.

Has diversified knowledge of methods and practices in broad areas of the software development. Recognized by peers as a strong collaborator.  Must excel in a team environment that changes with new technology adoption and evolving customer requirements.  Works very collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with key stakeholders, customers, product owners, development, and test team members. Understand, aggregate, and document requirements and gaps. Prioritize gap closure and feature delivery to form the CX roadmap. Create information structure, storyboards, mockups, and other artifacts to document CX evolution. Create and groom stories with product owners, development, and test team members.

Key Relationships:

  • Works closely with multiple Siemens BU stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Works closely with product owners, development, and test team members to deliver CX
  • Works closely with other CX experts to ensure a unified Siemens customer experience

Experience:

Essential

  • Creative organization of information structures
  • Passion for designing and delivering on complex requirements
  • Strong knowledge of human factors and UI fundamentals
  • Ability to synthesize diverse requirements into a coherent, sequential, delivery roadmap
  • 5+ years of UX/CX experience in software development environment
  • 2+ years of agile/scrum experience.

Desired:

  • 10+ years of UX/CX experience in software development environment
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in HCI, Design, or similar, related field
