Position Overview:

Join Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) growing and fast-paced Strategic Planning team! Part of Global Strategy and Marketing, the team is helping to guide Siemens DI SW portfolio and investment strategy. The Strategic Planning Lead is a highly visible role where you will have a chance to create a lasting strategic impact!

Essential Functions:

● Develop a deep understanding of DI SW’s software business, its customers and markets served

● Manages internal strategic planning framework, supported by structured process and financial models

● Partners with keys stakeholders in go-to-market functions to capture inbound requirements and growth opportunities  

● Integrate and standardize internal segment strategic planning and streamline with overarching portfolio plan

● Partner with finance to support investment/divestment planning as part of the annual budgeting process aligned to long-term goals

● Create a holistic view of portfolio investment by bringing disparate processes together.

Skills and Abilities Required: 

● Sound understanding of on-premises and SaaS software business models

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of ambiguity

● Self-starter able to lead multiple projects simultaneously Great teammate possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a passion for data and analysis

● Shown success working on cross-functional teams and communicating with leadership across various departments

● Ability to clearly communicate and represent data verbally and via presentation and to tailor the message for target audiences

● Meticulous attention to detail

● Desire to think strategically and execute tactically.

Education and Experience Requirement: 

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative subject area or equivalent work experience 

● Strong technical acumen; experience working in or with technical software 

● Strong business acumen; analytics or financial analysis experience preferred

● 5+ years of professional experience

● MBA preferred, but not required

● Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Must currently be located in greater Portland, OR., Cypress, CA., Detroit, MI., Plano, Tx., St Louis, MO or another major Siemens location hub.
