We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated Project Manager to join the team. Based in Bayswater or Macquarie Park, the role of Project Manager offers an exciting opportunity to join an established delivery team.  Depending upon experience, your role will entail the project management and oversight of technical delivery of medium and low voltage systems and packaged solutions (including MV GIS & AIS switchgears, LV switchgears and busways, transformer kiosk substations and outdoor switchgears, eHouses) within a range of markets, including utilities, renewables, mining, infrastructure, data centres.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full ownership for all project phases (requirements clarification, design development, procurement & manufacture, FAT, delivery, installation, test & verification)
  • Provide technical support to the customer, including recommending solution optimisations based on a thorough understanding of the customers’ needs
  • Optimising project profitability and taking on profit and loss responsibility for the project
  • Representing Siemens and reflecting on actions and feedback of the customer and developing a strong customer relationship
  • Ensuring commercial contract conditions and timelines are met, including management of contract variations & change management
  • Coordination & direction of human resources (in-house and factory engineering) to develop efficient and optimal solutions meeting customer requirements
  • Monitoring & control of the project, including necessary interventions, to ensure achievement of technical requirements, delivery milestones, timeline & quality
  • Risk management, including development t& implementation of suitable technical & commercial mitigation strategies
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and timely reporting of project status against project targets

The successful candidate will have experience in project management and/or construction management, a demonstrated ability to solve problems, managing and ensuring delivery to customer requirements, communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders, and a proven track record of achieving consistent and reliable results.  Knowledge of MV and LV switchgear and related equipment, and familiarity with Siemens’ factory and/or 3rd party supply chain procurement in the applicable markets would be highly advantageous.
