Machine Tools Bid Project Manager

Job Description

Siemens is looking for an Engineering Bid Project Manager, to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Milan or Genoa. He / She will be in charge of the analysis and further preparation of technical and commercial quotation for machines tool with Numerical Control Systems (CNC), AC/DC motors and drives, Automation Systems (PLC and DCS) and related projects to Digitization, mainly for Italian customers and in some cases also for foreign countries.

What will you handle in the short term?

  • Sales support for public and private tenders with the primary purpose of coordination and production documentation required, according to legal compliance policy rules.
  • Within the Customer Services Unit, direct responsibility for preparation of customized solution offers regarding retrofit of Machines Tool, Industrial and Process Control System, including supervision, monitoring, remote-control systems, industrial networks and orientation to new digitalization solutions.
  • Quotation of dedicated services post release phase of the Systems, such as Predictive, Preventive or Corrective Maintenances and Maintenance contracts prepared on Customer requirements.
  • Main industrial sectors treated: automatic lifting and mining industries, steel and metallurgical industries, cement industries, thermoelectric and hydroelectric plants, food and beverage industries, pharmaceutical and automatic warehouses.

And what about the medium-long term?

  • Increased knowledge in the fields of Digitization, Industrial Edge Marketplace and in Industry 4.0.

Who are we looking for?

A candidate with the following features:
  • Previous experience in the field of machine control and control devices, electric motors and drives, automation systems and HMI.
  • General knowledge of drive techniques, electric motors, motion control, configuration of PLC and DCS systems and relatives’ industrial networks.
  • Passion for Digitization and Industry 4.0. and basic knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office 365 package.
  • Bachelor's / Three Years Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automation or Technical High School Diploma.
  • Available to business trips for technical inspections on national level and sometimes also international.
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work in team, diplomacy, and quality in interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong orientation to reach the targets to Customer Service, initiative and autonomy.
