Technical Support Engineer

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Enfield. 


As a Technical Support Engineer you will provide technical support to Installation and Maintenance employees in fault diagnosis on traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems. Routine and corrective maintenance of equipment as required and as defined by the Company and contractual requirements. Commissioning of traffic signal installations and other highway electrical systems. Undertake complex traffic signal and highways systems tasks such as those related to MOVA, RTPI and data communications.


AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS

  • Technical support for colleagues on a variety of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems
  • Configuration of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems
  • Routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems
  • Periodic Inspections of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/ or highways systems including electrical testing
  • Complex fault diagnosis across a wide range of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/or highway systems including. CCTV, VMS, speed cameras, ANPR
  • Commissioning of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/or highways systems
  • Out of hours working to support service contract requirements
  • Support installation of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and/or highways systems
  • Successful completion of mandatory NHSS training requirements
  • Undertake appropriate training with the addition of new equipment and systems as and when necessary, via formal and informal training, including on the job training.

  • Must hold full UK Driving License

Experience:

  • Working outside and at heights (Desirable)
  • Working as part of a team and working unsupervised (Desirable)
  • Testing of electrical equipment in an industrial environment (Desirable)
  • Working on traffic signal and ancillary equipment (Desirable)
