Mentor Graphics Hungary Ltd. is part of Siemens Digital Industries and specializes in high-quality software development for automotive and aeronautics industry.

The Scrum Team which the candidate will join is developing a single product, a market leader network design application targeting automotive industry. We have been working closely together with prominent automobile manufactures around the world providing them with new features and supporting their workflow for 10+ years.

We are real practitioners of Agile software and product development methods, continuously improving ourselves and our processes focusing on continuously delivering real value to our customers while taking quality assurance very seriously (automated testing, continuous integration, etc.).

Join our team as “QA Engineer” in our Siemens office in Budapest, Hungary. We also consider a mix between working from home and meeting with the team in the office.

You’ll help our customers drive digital innovation by

Your job involves manual test development/execution and automated test development as well using best QA practices. Our main development/QA tools include Eclipse IDE, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence. Further tasks are:

  • Requirement analysis of new features together with the Scrum team
  • Creating test plans and test cases
  • Execution of manual tests
  • Development of automated tests

What do you need to realize what matters?

The ideal candidate should have manual- and automatic test development experience and must be able to take individual responsibility for their work.

We are looking for a colleague who values the fact that our product is significantly more complex than average mainstream web/mobile applications of our days, and requires the attitude, traits and skills of a traditional engineer. Further requirements are:

  • 2+ years of experience in manual- and automated testing
  • Solid understanding of current QA best practices
  • Thoroughness, diligence, tolerance of monotony
  • Willingness and motivation to learn
  • Acceptance of the complexity of the domain and the tool
    (and the unique opportunities that come with them)
  • Fluency in English

These knowledge areas are considered as advantages – Not a must-have:

  • Work experience in Scrum Teams
  • Experience with UML, Eclipse IDE, Git
  • Experience in automotive industry
  • ISTQB certifications
