We have an exciting opportunity and are actively recruiting for a Regional Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Factory Automation & Motion Control, you will cover Factory Automation top line growth in respective region. As a vital part of North American organization, this position will bring their strategic, out of the box thinking to support sales strategy in North America. The successful candidate will be performance driven with a keen talent for building relationships at all levels including C Suite Management level. This role stretches across an international scope and requires solid process, time management and communication skills.

What will you do?

  • Drive Factory Automation Sales strategy in North America and support local Factory Automation organization to win market share
  • Responsible for Factory Automation products/systems volume to manage and support the assigned business segments in their achievement of short, mid, and long-term objectives
  • Drive or actively join global sales communities within hub region (e.g., best practice exchange, market feedback)
  • Develop target agreement, masterplan, and country strategy, planning of piece counts, segment planning for automation system & production machines including responsibility of the target achievement under strict controlling of customer price development. Support sales measures accordingly.
  • Cooperate with the regional Business Units in conducting regular strategy reviews, operational performance reviews, pipeline reviews and business forecasts, provide coaching and guidance for respective Business Unit org.
  • Analyze market and competitor relevant information to react fast and flexible on changes (trends: technologies, customer, competition, politics/regulations; market volume/share/growth)
  • Responsible for special assignments in case of crisis-scenarios or turnaround situation of a respective country
  • Manage relationship with Digital Industry Mgt., Top customers & Partners (incl. customer visit incl. required pre-sales support e.g.: tender specifications, system architecture, etc.)
  • Coordinate with relevant headquarter functions for the best possible support for the regions to win market share.
  • Drive Regional Countries to grow Factory Automation partner eco system (selection-qualification – on boarding), in alignment with Partner Management.
  • Collaborate and make alignment with other sales activities in hub and region
  • Support Regional Manager and Sales region in operational topics (e.g., prepare special pricing requests and special reports/analysis, drive delivery prioritization requests and product quality topics)
  • Consolidate/summarize relevant market trends/market models for the Hub/Regional Managers
  • Organize and facilitate customer meetings
  • Prepare Sales/Regional Manager presentations
  • Organize webinars, trainings for hubs/sales regions
  • Coordinate piece count planning for Hub
  • Work as the Central contact for working students, trainees, and temporary delegations
  • Set Intranet / SharePoint for Hub
  • Support program Office for Hub Management

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years Key Account Management/Senior level Sales/business management experience
  • Solid industry and market knowledge in Factory Automation is a must have
  • Knowledge of overall Siemens Industrial portfolio is an asset
  • Proven track record of successful performance mainly in the Factory Automation industry or equivalent market
  • Sales driven, dynamic, entrepreneur, strong interpersonal and communication skill, and ability to promote value and customer relationships
  • Understands business plans and business development processes
  • Executive level verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e.: financial, strategic & tactical thinking
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work successfully in a globally matrix organization
