This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an SLM Staff Product Engineer - Applications you will be responsible for:

  • You will plan the serviceability of new assay products & applications serviceability for system products.
  • You’ll represent Service on multifunctional product and project teams.
  • You will provide functional expertise, related application services and service documentation.
  • You will coordinate creation of global service documentation to ensure technical application readiness for product introduction.
  • You’ll lead and participate in Service Element Teams.
  • You will identify, assess, and manage project risks from service and application perspective.
  • You will lead knowledge transfer activities within service.
  • You’ll support review of customer facing documentation.
  • You will communicate project status and issues to service management.
  • You’ll coordinate maintenance of Applications service documentation through product lifecycle.
  • You will track and trend project related and product health service metrics.

  • You have experience with Immunoassay Systems including ADVIA Centaur and IMMULITE systems.
  • You have experience leading project teams, strong digital presence, strong interpersonal and
  • communication skills.
  • Skilled collaboration with service stakeholders to optimize service representation on business level teams with ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
  • You have excellent presentation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or higher.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related technical experience and proven record of accomplishments including a minimum of five years of diagnostic laboratory experience (as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist).
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with the operation of Immunoassay systems including customization, method validation, workflow optimization and knowledge of related assays.
  • Willing to travel up to 5%
