We are looking for a Transformation Leader - SCM, focussing on the Value Chain, who can help us along in our journey. You will bring experience within markets where there is volatile demand and where there are multiple decoupling points (e.g., raw material, semi-finished goods, pack-to-order, finished goods). You will be comfortable in Supply chain management concepts and thinking, and with your intelligence be able to work and implement necessary changes alongside SCM experts to influence our end-to-end value chain.

The position is based in our multi award winning Congleton manufacturing plant and will report to the Head of Strategy for Congleton. You will assume responsibility for cross-departmental and cross-plant transformation projects and thus contribute directly to achieving our strategic goals.  The basis of your success is a successful diploma / master's degree in the field of business administration, manufacturing systems engineering industrial engineering, supply chain management, mechanical engineering, or a similar course of study.

What part will you play:

·       Act as an internal consultant, coach, and trainer to actively shape our transformation journey.

·       Analyze complex business models, show their influence on the entire value chain in the end-to-end supply chain and to derive fields of action based on the findings in a structured manner.

·       You will assume responsibility for cross-departmental and cross-plant end to end transformation projects and thus contributing directly to achieving overall strategic plans.

·       Understanding the ‘as is’ from a wide variety of cross functional teams and stakeholders to understand the supply and operational planning process, analytics and the tools employed in end-to-end value streams.

·       Creating a vision for how planning should be achieved in a hybrid factory which runs two supply chain methodologies of “Make to Stock” and “Make to Order”.

·       Utilising Planning methodologies within a Lean context and experience with SAP and Manufacturing execution systems (MES) to propose and design the planning architecture and tool landscape.

·       Focus on the strategic and tactical delivery of overall change to SCM processes and to further ensure that change is embedded.

What you need to make that happen:

§  Strong strategic leadership ability. Experience in leading projects through influence and thought leadership. Strong experience is designing and delivering new manufacturing and supply chain systems.

§  Strong relevant experience in Planning methodologies within a Lean context.

§  To have experience with SAP, MES systems and experience in integrated supply chain planning and regarded as a subject matter expert preferably in discrete manufacturing context.

§  Comprehensive understanding of demand, supply and operational planning process, analytics and the tools employed in end-to-end value streams.

§  You have relevant professional experience and profound knowledge in the field of lean production systems. You have been part and lead successful value stream designs projects.

§  You have already reached an expert level in project management methodologies (agile preferred)

§  Degree/MBA in relevant discipline with experience showing excellent supply chain thinking/problem solving skills, ability to make sense of complex organisational challenges, and to developed creative solution and implement changes.

§  To be skilled in maths, statistics and manipulation of data and understands how this can be supported by digital tools and methods like RPA, RDA and/or ML.

§  Due to international nature of our business – past experience of being part of diverse and interculture experience would be highly beneficial.
