  • Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate student

Product Engineering Software (PES) NX Model Based Definition - Software Engineer Intern

As an intern in Product Engineering Software (PES), you will dive into developing our premiere NX CAD software as a part of the Model Based Definition (MBD) team. You may work on business-critical and innovative projects, prototypes for new releases, algorithm design and implementation, etc. You will work in an agile development environment and have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers. You will push the limits on project teams related to:
  • Design, implement, enhance, and maintain software as a member of the MBD team for a large CAD application, NX.
  • Develop projects with efficient algorithms and state-of-the-art technology.
  • Utilize object-oriented / structured programming techniques and other software engineering practices to ensure that the product is high quality and the architecture is maintainable, modular, encapsulated, and expandable.
  • Contribute as a team member to web and desktop applications
  • Contribute in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) environment
  • Assist in maintaining our existing software product by analyzing and defining solutions to reported problems
Organization Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or a first year Master’s student, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Coding skills in C++ or JAVA or JavaScript
  • Previous web application development experience preferred, but not required
  • Passionate, driven, and proactive
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Inspires collaboration

Siemens Industry Software Inc. is a technology supplier to the United States Federal Government.  Recently The White House issued an Executive Order requiring most federal workers, contractors and subcontractors who do business with the government to get vaccinated against COVID-19 unless granted an accommodation due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief or practice.  The Company has decided to pause enforcement of the vaccine mandate for the time being while the issue is addressed by the courts.
