Job Description:

  • In context of an ambitious expansion plan, we are looking for a CFD-engineer to join our application specialists team.
  • This individual will be part of a team of technical experts within the Fluid & Thermal Product Management Solution Domain within the Siemens Digital Industries Software (DISW) organization which works closely with product management, sales, customer support, and marketing to make the Simcenter-CFD platform the leading solution for SPH-Flow applications (formerly Nextflow Software).
  • This role holds a global technical responsibility and requires leadership for the SPH-Flow CFD product line (formerly Nextflow Software) and its related applications, such as multiphase flow within the Automotive, Aerospace, Marine and other industries.
  • You will be responsible for generating technical materials, such as workflow & process documentation to support Simcenter SPH-Flow product sales, leading complex technical engagements with customers and prospects, managing internal and external technical relationships, and providing business and technical input into the product roadmap.

Job Functions:

  • Establish authority as a global technical expert for SPH-Flow products and related applications.
  • Proactively drive worldwide enablement activities, both internal (Siemens) and external (Customers) to generate maximum visibility of our portfolio.
  • Lead and manage technical engagements and collaborations.
  • Create, maintain and distribute technical material, including but not limited to, benchmarks, journal/conference papers, best practice guidelines, technical/sales presentations, webinars, internal trainings, demonstration cases.
  • Collaborate with industry managers for Go-To-Market campaigns, sales and support leaders to expedite technical sales, product management and development to enhance software performance and quality.
  • Provide advanced technical back-up as the key expert to the global sales and support organizations, but also build the expertise of engineers within the organization, enabling them to support SPH-Flow applications.
  • As a subject matter expert, it is expected to know and communicate the market trends and competitive landscape to guide both the product development and sales.
  • Required education and focus Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or related) with a focus on numerical methods for vehicle aerodynamics.

Required knowledge, skills, or expertise:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related domain with CFD or numerical background, Master degree preferred
  • Self-driven individual, understanding the requirements to operate and succeed in a growth-oriented community
  • Strong CAE & CAD knowledge in common market leading software tools
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Good coordination and communications skills in a global environment within different cultures
  • Strong English language skills to drive business conversations are essential

Preferred knowledge, skills, or expertise:

  • Industrial work experience 2+ years in related industry preferred
  • Experience in Simcenter CFD applications, preferably with SPH-Flow
  • Hands-on experience in testing operations and related measurement technology
  • Knowledge of CAD packages such as Siemens NX

Role:

  • Entry level: junior / graduate / industrial work experience beneficial
  • Travel: required up to 20% (depending on global pandemic situation)
