We are looking for 1 Manufacturing Engineering Technician for Switchboards on 1st Shift. The ME Technician reports to the Manufacturing Engineer of the area, with dotted lines to the Production Supervisors on both shifts as well as the Test & Approval supervisor.

The key elements of this role involve:

  • Conducting Lean Manufacturing & 5S projects to improve the shop floor
  • Helping to create and update: SOPs, OIS’s, other training & production documentation
  • Maintain systems associated with production processes, flow, equipment, communications, including the Dynamic, identify production waste, lead kaizen events, CIP Boards / meetings, Safety One A Day, Production Schedule, etc
  • Support the implementation of new technologies, processes, and equipment
  • Troubleshoot process flow & resolve barriers
  • Investigate root causes of problems with processes, tools, equipment, materials and safety
  • Conducts studies to improve efficiency, quality, costs, and safety.
  • Makes recommendations on methods of operation, workstations, floor layout, and equipment.
  • Enable collaboration with support functions including critical material issues, training matrix, shift pass down / handovers, shortages, material identification, etc.
  • Backup Manufacturing Engineer on project work & shop floor support

Helping us drive our future vision, your toolkit may include some of these key skills

  • Lean practitioner / lean manufacturing training is a plus
  • High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred
  • 3 + years of experience in manufacturing or leadership roles
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • 6 or less Attendance Points
  • Proficient in SAP, DMM, & computer skills is a plus
