We are recruiting for a collaborative and innovative EHS Manager for a fixed term 12-month contract, where you will influence and drive improved EHS performance in Siemens Regional Company in Ireland.

Reporting to the CFO, you will drive EHS performance through a risk based planned approach and the identification and building of best practice communities across all of our business divisions.

  • Provide advice and guidance as to both current and prospective legislation and how to implement and deploy such legislation across the business and increase EHS competence throughout the business.
  • Take a balanced and measured approach to continually develop as part of the GB&I Team of EHS experts that meets the needs of the business now and in the future, whilst managing day to day operational activities.
  • Provide a local interface to GB&I EHS Director who is responsible for governance structure and assurance strategy.
  • Monitoring of EHS legislative requirements/ future changes to ensure the Business fulfills all requirements.
  • Provide data to support GB&I EHS Governance function through the RC GB EHS
  • Implement and maintain a proactive compliance assurance strategy to track Irish businesses compliance with Irish legislative and other requirements for EHS.
  • Increase the awareness of the EHS/PS community on technical and product safety requirements and increase competence within the business.
  • To plan and drive EHS risk-based strategies to increase EHS performance of the business and liase with local Siemens Real Estate management to ensure ongoing adequate and competent EHS support to the SRE operation in Ireland.
  • Provide specific EHS & PS technical competence to Siemens businesses and other stakeholders (e.g. Customers) as and when required.
  • Contribute to the Siemens Ltd H&S Zero Harm programme, audits, and compliance activity.
  • Drive and support employee well being initiatives and programmes.

We are looking for a future thinking EHS manager, with a detailed knowledge of environment, health and safety operating systems and legislation.  You will have extensive knowledge and experience of EU/UK/IE environments and health and safety legislation. 

Experience of certified integrated management systems and auditing is a must whilst being a Trained VDU Assessor, , Manual Handling instructor, Mental Health First Aider, Fire Warden, Occupational First Aider, accredited ISO Auditor qualification would be an advantage.
