Digital Grid Software is accelerating advancement of its grid simulation software and worldwide scaling plans. To support the growth strategy, as a Senior Technical Sales Consultant (f/m/d) you will enable Siemens’s regional teams and partners across the world to sell, train and implement existing and future software solutions. 

As a Senior Technical Sales Consultant (f/m/d), TSC, you will drive the technical adoption of the grid simulation software products in the marketplace by working with Regional Sales Organizations and partners. You will also play the central role in defining and implementing a technical enablement and pre-sales support strategy that will allow the transfer of technical knowledge to regional teams and partners to scale business.

You will also play a role in publicly promoting (e.g. key regional working groups) and articulating our value proposition in technical terms to support people, partners and customers through conferences, training and other communication means. In this role you are expected to visit (virtually or in person) prospects or existing customers designated by the regional teams together with them to assess technical needs, enable the implementation of software solutions and to train software technical skills of our customers and own organization.  

In this role you serve as the subject matter expert on our offers who can assist the field in closing major opportunities and partners in delivering their projects once opportunity has been won. As a Senior TSC (f/m/d) you will gather information (pros & cons) about offers from the competition to help building a competitive positioning. You will also collect regions’ feedback (market/technology/regulatory trends) , to prioritize future developments.  

Key metrics for success for the Senior TSC (f/m/d) role will be the number of sales won based on your technical recommendations and number of regional teams and partners successfully trained and enabled to multiply business in your region. 
  

What part will you play?
  • You maintain customer contacts and develop them further to ensure sustainable business and monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings. 
  • You act as focal point in building trusted advisor relationships with the customers and Siemens regional office.
  • You coordinate the delivery of customized training workshops.
  • You support the creation of technical proposals.
  • You influence partners and the Customer’s “Decision makers” and you support and influence on pre-sales specification and develop success-oriented strategies for the marketed product and project business.
  • You analyze customers' technical needs to better judge on aspects of product and solution integration. 
  • You visit customers virtually or in person to explore their needs to better judge on aspects of product and solution integration, as well as to update and train them on new products & features.
  • You develop and support business growth in the regions by providing technical expert knowledge and enablement trainings.
  • This position is a technical expert function, suitable for an engineer with hands on experience in power system planning and/or protection relay engineering who is looking to transition into a technical consulting function. You will be responsible to support worldwide growth and a positive customer success experience.
What you need to make real what matters.
  • You have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • You bring with you long years related working experience.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in using of power system simulation software such as PSS®E, PSS®SINCAL, PSS®CAPE or others.
  • You have a growth mindset and are curious to learn state-of-the art power system modeling and analysis.
  • You like to understand client’s hidden needs, use cases, associated pains and gains, and you feel at ease to articulate and demo how our products and services can solve them.
  • Light travelling is required, both domestic and international.
  • You are fluent in English & German. Optional in Spanish or French.
