The Distribution Systems Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on electric-vehicle charging, photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of electric-vehicle chargers, low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility

Position Overview

Siemens Industry, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the Distribution Systems, Customer Services orders engineering team. The position is curtailed to engineering low voltage retrofit solutions for Siemens legacy products as well as other OEM products. 

Responsibilities

Daily job functions would include the following:

  • Using AutoCAD software to create schematics and wiring diagrams to show breaker
  • Supporting the Wendell, NC manufacturing facility in building circuit breakers
  • Creating engineering drawings to specify customer-specific components (key interlock, etc.)
  • Diagnosing circuit breaker issues and recommending parts for replacement.
  • Various reporting needs related to the job function

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with electrical drawings
  • Ability to create and draw electrical circuits
  • SAP Conductor, Siemens NX, AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Ability to travel to gather information at customer sites/assist with installations
  • This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
