Product Marketing Manager – Chronic Disease Management

The Product Marketing Manager leads all product marketing activities for the Point of Care (POC) Chronic Disease Management portfolio in North America – currently consisting of diabetes and decentralized urinalysis platforms and associated reagents / consumables / other (RCO). The candidate will also manage the regional introduction and ongoing oversight of future POC Chronic Disease Management offerings as they become available, as well adjacent POC portfolio offerings (namely, infectious disease solutions) that will likely utilize similar go-to-market frameworks. 

As this individual will maintain responsibilities to develop and execute the strategy for this portfolio, this is an opportunity to a play a leading marketing role in one of the fastest growing markets in the healthcare diagnostics industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the end-to-end owner and go-to individual for defined product portfolios; resident product expert related to F&Bs, performance, competitive info., etc.
  • Key product voice to all internal and external audiences; represents at company and industry events. Maintains understanding of competitor product and value proposal
  • Proactively manages all aspects of product lines to ensure delivery of customer value. Manages the product tactical and strategic initiatives in collab. with Global colleagues and NAM Marketing Team colleagues to build / refine compelling value proposa5ls and related materials
  • Understands full product capabilities and translates into material. Develops and maintains all product value proposals and feature / benefits messaging for region. Ensures company document repository has up-to-date, approved materials
  • Owns all aspects of product launch and training for region (in concert with Clinical and Segment Marketing leads, Global and MarCom). Develops and executes region-specific launch plan, pricing, marketing and training material development, forecasting, sales comms., timelines, material and operational set up to ensure everything is optimized for Go Live
  • Leverages direction from Segment Marketing Manager to prepare and deliver tailored materials and tools for targeted campaigns at key buyer segments. Includes customer testimonials, proof points and KOL development (via Clinical Mkt.).
  • Key regional contact to Global counterparts; ensures voice of market and customer product experience is continuously fed to global teams to influence product direction, refinement and development of launch toolkits and messaging
  • IDs, organizes and executes tradeshow experiences to spotlight key products, F&Bs and more
  • Manages all aspects of product lifecycle for region, including sales force communication
  • Proactively ID’s and helps resolve product or market issues; keeps internal audiences informed
  • Develop value analysis tools such as calculators, guides and presentations to showcase the clinical and economic benefits of the portfolio to different stakeholders within health systems. 
  • Design compelling positioning & messaging for marketing materials that differentiates portfolio in the market and resonates with customers
  • ID competitive trends; develop competitive presentations, other assets for sales team
  • Assist and train sales team on product positioning and competitive differentiation.
  • Interface regularly with field sales, technical field teams and business partners

Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Ops. or business development of clinical diagnostic products.
  • Exposure to / experience in creating product training and value analysis tools for sales teams
  • Ability to derive key insights from data sources and convert them into concrete action plans.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver high quality product presentations to all levels of the organization; Advanced MS Powerpoint Skills
  • Strong objection handling and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to influence the actions and decision making of others in a matrix organization
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Must be able to travel 25% or more as required
