As Collections Team Leader you will provide full support to the Collections Team and Management Team.  You will be responsible to maximise profits and minimise losses by effective leadership of the Collections and Legal Recoveries team, ensuring all team members are suitably coached, motivated and focussed upon delivering excellent service and results.

Achievement of Collections and bad debt recovery levels within budgeted target 

    • Motivate team members to achieve maximum collection activity
    • Monitor team members' case load and performance to ensure maximum recovery activity is being achieved
    • Manage portfolio of Collections cases in order to maximize recoveries and protect the commercial interests of the business
    • Resolution of complex or high value disputes, ensuring compliance with correspondence turnarounds, complaints procedure guidelines and regulatory requirements at all times and involving other parties where necessary.
    • Adhere to the Collections & Legal Recoveries guidelines in order to ensure all team member activity is within specified compliance requirements, and that all agreed productivity and effectiveness targets are met
    • Responsible for monthly reporting of arrears figures and team MIS
    • Assist the Collections and Legal Recoveries Manager with any other duties when required

You will be a coach and mentor with a passion for life-long learhing.  You will help deliver the key elements of SFS, including UK Strategic agenda, PMP Dialogue, Coaching & development of team, Team Briefing, 360 feedback (where applicable) and clear succession planning.

A background within a similar organization and role is a must.

A customer focus, negotiation and conflict resolution experience and a passion for supporting and driving new initiatives is a must.

Knowledge of Banking, Leasing or Finance agreements preferred.
