This job opportunity initially offers a fixed-term contract.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Prepare / review and timely submit (a) monthly, amending and annual VAT returns (b) monthly VIES listings returns (acquisitions / deliveries) (c) VAT refund claim based on the 8th / 13th EU directive; (d) withholding tax returns on interest payments (e) withholding tax returns on local and foreign suppliers (with the exception of salary taxes) (f) quarterly lists of concluded agreements (g) various tax returns (e.g. stamp duty, capital concentration tax) (h) preparation and filing of compromise agreements and court decisions, etc.
  • Collect the VAT exemption documentation, where applicable / necessary.
  • Perform the country part of the VAT SOA controls.
  • Coordinate the collection of and submit discounts on turnover (Εκπτώσεις λόγω τζίρου)
  • Request tax residence certificates from suppliers and apply for the issue of tax residence certificates for the Siemens entities in Greece
  • Issue of withholding tax certificates on suppliers’ fees; Preparation of withholding tax certificate returns.
  • Consulting on VAT, Withholding tax, KFAS issues – Business partner for the designated area.
  • Assistance with data gathering within the course of the tax certificate and tax audits; for Transfer Pricing list and TP file.
  • Visit tax and competent authorities, as may be required.
  • Assistance with preparation of trainings, presentations, etc.
  • Gain knowledge of Siemens global and country Tax policies (Transfer Pricing, PATAC, Permanent Establishments)

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • 2-3 years working experience in tax compliance
  • Basic knowledge in Greek Tax law & regulations
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and SAP will be considered as an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Have an own GSIS / Tax Registration Key (Κλειδάριθμος).
  • Fluency in spoken and written Greek and English languages
  • Strong customer service orientation, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and learning agility
