Accounting Expert for GL, FA, Closing and Reporting

Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Support monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting process, reconciliations, closing and reports - customer Siemens Mobility and Yunex Traffic
• Solve complex accounting transaction and perform necessary analysis of reporting closing results
• Drive process improvements in standard processes in General Ledger, Financial Accounting, Closing and Reporting area
• Oversee development and implementation of a knowledge management in Accounting area of GL, FA, Closing and Reporting
• Identification of opportunities for process efficiency, quality and productivity improvements and implementation of the improvement measures
• Participation on global or local process improvement measures including handover to operations
• Support the implementation of global best practice tools and applications to reduce operational costs and/or increase transparency and quality
• Monitor quality of executed accounting transactions by regular quality check, support in implementation of mandatory intern control (RIC)
• Manage customer relationship at operational level, partly on senior management Level (Head of accounting, Hub, Local accounting)
• Support the deployment of the global business strategy
• Manage customer relationship at operational level, partly on senior management Level (Head of Accounting, Accounting Hub, BU or segment CFO) and be aware of customer's needs, expectations and key business drivers
• Introduction of GBS SMO portfolio to new potential internal and external customers
• Analyse business processes, identify opportunities for quality, efficiency and productivity improvement and implement measures to ensure achievement of savings, productivity and quality targets. Act as project lead for the implementation of global or local process improvement measures including handover to operations
• Implement common standard delivery processes and roadmaps
• Identify and implement innovative ideas, best practices and innovative methods to reduce operational costs and/or increase quality and transparency
• Participation in global benchmarking projects and definition and implementation of improvement measures to achieve competitive cost position
• Support the implementation of global best practice tools and applications to reduce operational costs and/or increase transparency and quality

Requirements:
• University degree, ideally in finance
• At least 5 years working experience in finance, accounting, ideally in Shared Services
• Excellent English language knowledge, German as a big advantage
• Attention to detail, demonstrated communication skills and strong analytic skills
• Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects of varied topics and complexities
• Advanced SAP knowledge
• Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite
