Job Description

Hi, We’re Siemens Mobility!  We’re a leading global provider of short-distance, regional and long-distance rolling stock, as well as product and system solutions for passenger and freight transport. We ensure that passengers are transported in a safe and comfortable environment while also meeting economic and environmental requirements. Our products are future-oriented and enable cost-effective operations while reducing environmental impact and conserving resources. We are adding Blaster 1 to the team due to grown and expansion.

What you will be doing in this role: 

'- Sandblasts car shells exterior to achieve required texture.      

- Performs maintenance on the media blast equipment.

- Performs preventative maintenance to car shell.

- May perform equipment maintenance in other areas of the shop.

- Assists in preparation of car shells for transport.

Function / Degree Preferred:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.

High school education or equivalent. Equipment maintenance skills are a plus.

Work Environment/Conditions:

Works under minimal supervision.

Works on assignments with continuous guidance and set of detailed instructions.  Follows standard practices and procedures where answers can be readily obtained.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
