Simcenter Prescan is a mature and wide-spread simulation platform for virtual development and validation of active safety and (Highly) Automated Driving systems. Prescan offers high-fidelity simulation models of all sensors relevant for automated driving, and a simulation environment for virtual testing of algorithms for autonomous braking, lane keeping, accident avoidance, etc…

We have an immediate opening for an experienced C++ Software Engineer for our Core team. In this team, you will be working on the foundation that the Prescan product is built on. This includes a distributed computing framework, a multi-language api to create and modify experiments, an SDK to create plugins, and working on the simulation backend.

We are looking for a real problem solver, somebody who loves a challenge and is not afraid of diving deep into a problem. Prescan is a complex product, and in Team Core we have to come up with designs and solutions to allow the product to scale and grow in the constantly evolving Automotive market.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role you will closely work with other software engineers in your Agile scrum team to design and implement new functionalities, use and expand your Object Oriented (OO) development skills, have a keen eye for high-quality software development techniques, and work with state-of-the-art tools to increase efficiency and quality of our software. You will frequently take part in technical discussions with your team in order to come up with solutions to complex problems.

Required Background & Education:
  • Education level: MSc or BSc with more than 3 years of experience in software development.
  • Good knowledge of OO design and implementation using C++ (C++11 and newer).
  • Experience with Visual Studio, CMake and the Boost libraries.
  • Experience working in Scrum framework
  • Knowledge of and experience with Python and/or MATLAB / Simulink is a strong plus.
  • Thorough understanding of best coding practices.
  • Knowledge and use of UML for architecture and design purposes.
  • Version control and source code management tools such as Git, GitLab, Mercurial, Conan, Artifactory, Jenkins
  • Considered as a plus: experience with Linux, with the Atlassian toolsuite (i.e. Jira Agile, FishEye) or similar, with a Continuous Development and Integration process, with User Interface design and implementation, and with developing complex software systems.
