Join our team as “Associate Application Engineer Trainee – Design for Test (m/f/d)” in Munich, Germany.
Your new field of activity – challenging and future oriented
As part of a team of highly motivated individuals working with customers designing the most complex hardware and software systems in the world and whose applications span the electronics industry, you will be an Associate Applications Engineer for our Tessent Test Solution: https://eda.sw.siemens.com/en-US/ic/tessent/.
For one year, this paid training program will give you opportunity to learn about Design-for-Test (DFT) methodologies with our Tessent suite of products. You will be part of our DFT team supporting our customers in Europe.
Building effective and valuable relationships is central to the roles found in our organization, as well as developing expertise towards solutions and design. So naturally, you will be given a full training plan, mixing mentoring, on-the-job training, technical and business skills classes, to help you develop all the expertise needed to own your future career in our company.
Upon successful completion of this12-month training program, you will be eligible to advance into one of these post program opportunities: Field Application Engineer, Corporate Applications Engineer and Technical Marketing Engineer positions.
What you need to realize what matters.
We would love to hear from you if you just graduated with a bachelor or master’s degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering, or if you have a first work experience, not exceeding 2 years.
A broad range of authentic, clear and credible interpersonal and communication skills are essential to this role. You should be able to present a point of view in an eloquent way and articulate our EDA Siemens Software approach to solution adoption. We would like to you to bring creative problem-solving skills, a high level of motivation and results orientation.
A collaborative mentality, being a teammate who is able to work with all people (including engineers and senior managers), but also a self-starter who can show initiative and work autonomously are traits we value. You don’t share same location of work with your colleagues, so you have to work on your own and you need to collaborate with different other teams (country teams).
- Familiarity with the following would be preferred: UNIX, Linux, Verilog (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), VHDL (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), Perl, TCL, C/C++
- If you have work experience then, it would be a plus having: Semiconductor knowledge, DFT methodology and hands-on implementation on real projects experience, understanding of RTL IC flows and Backend IC flows
