Siemens Healthineers has an opening for a software developer seeking a new job in 2022. We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer, and the role comes with an attractive salary and fantastic benefits package.  This is a hybrid role working both from home and from our facility in Eynsham, near Oxford which has free onsite parking.  We have a flexible hour’s approach allowing you to balance the needs of the business and your commitments.

It is an exciting time to be joining us.  As part of our long-term strategy, we are planning on building an additional brand-new facility in Oxfordshire in 2024.

As a flexible Embedded Software Engineer, you will be part of our successful R&D engineering team developing electronics products for superconducting magnets for medical MRI systems.

In your first week in this Software Engineer role, you can expect to:

●     Manage the software and electronic design aspects of the control and monitoring system for MRI superconducting magnets

●     Help develop system requirements, taking products from design to full compliance

●     Offer technical support for manufacturing and customer services departments for products

●     Work with and improve company processes for the development and maintenance of products

To succeed in this Software Engineer job, you will need a relevant degree or equivalent and a background in embedded software development or electronics design.

You will also require the following:

●     Experience in embedded microcontroller software design and relevant design tools

●     Relevant electronic design and development experience

●     Experience in communication buses and protocols

●     Experience in software verification and validation processes and SVN (or similar)
