Pharma MES Business developer/Business Analyst

Job Description

Siemens is a market leader in the Process Automation business offering a wide range of products and solutions to our customers in various process Industry verticals.

Pharma vertical is fastest growing vertical within our Process Automation business unit. After a substantial installed base of our Automation and process control systems in last 2 decades, our customers are looking to Siemens for next level of technology solutions like MES, PAT, Simulation, digitalization etc. Specifically, to tap the growth opportunities offered by our customers in the Pharma MES area, we are augmenting our MES team with various Sales, Presales, and delivery roles.

Pharma MES Business developer will be responsible to manage the complete EBR opportunities Sales & presales lifecycle for the Pharma MES solution projects. He will have full ownership for all initiatives, activities over the complete opportunity lifecycle from lead generation, opportunity qualification, RFI/RFQ response, customer meetings, presentation / demo etc. for all opportunities in various pharmaceutical niche in Indian market.

Role

  • To understand the EBR market - market analysis, market potential, new trends, investments, forecast etc.
  • Build the opportunity pipeline (short, medium, and long term) with key decisive parameters
  • Plan and manage various sales & presales activities (proactive and opportunity based)
  • Participate in exhibitions, fairs, pharma events, manage stall/booth etc.
  • Manage complete customer engagement for an opportunity – meetings all stakeholders, initial presentation, requirement discussions, portfolio fit & gap vs. requirement, technical workshop, manage detailed requirement technical/functional discussions with other internal experts
  • Connect & engage with CxO and key Senior stakeholders
  • Prepare proposals, SW services efforts estimation, overall architecture etc.
  • Co-ordinate with HQ on various activities, discussions, demos etc.
  • Manage sales discussions, negotiations, and support sales in closure of the deals

Profile (Experience, qualification) An ideal candidate should,

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engg., Electrical & Electronics Engg. from a reputed institute.
  • Have an overall 16+ years’ Sales, presales and business development experience in Automation, SCADA, Historian, MES, LIMS & related manufacturing software
  • Have 8+ years core EBR/Pharma MES sales, presales experience in leading and managing opportunities on globally renowned EBR platforms. An experience on Opcenter execution pharma (erstwhile SIMATIC IT eBR) would be a plus
  • Have managed at least 2 to 3 medium to large full EBR opportunities from initial enquiry, start of engagement up to negotiations and deal closure
  • Have proven sales and presales acumen, excellent verbal and written communication skills, is a go-getter, self-driven,
  • Have an understanding of the pharma manufacturing value-chain, GxP/ISA-88/ISA-95 standards, has deep knowledge of EBR functionalities,
  • Have ability to make standard product demos, steer complex integrated PoC/conference room pilots, present Pharma MES offering in Industry events
  • Be a Team player, result-oriented with proven track record of winning & closing EBR opportunities

The role will require aggressive and disciplined working, collaboration, and visits to various customer sites over the sales lifecycle.

The role will provide a deep functional and business exposure to Pharma MES and related fields with potential to move to higher and senior roles in Pharma MES business.
