We want to get onboard Export Control Business Partner – Compliance Hub Europe & CIS
Effective and efficient implementation and application of Siemens Mobility Export Control
guideline based on national and international export control regulations as well as standardized
EX solutions in the assigned area. Provide advice and support to EX Associates for Export
Control related matters. Besides your home market in Europe, you focus on cross country
operations and collaboration in in the Siemens Mobility markets in Europe and beyond.
What are my responsibilities?
Advice, guidance, and support to MOBILITY legal entities regarding Export Control
issues for the assigned businesses and countries in Europe.
Support of international project business and new business models by assessing export
control risks due to export control restrictions as well as (possible) sanctions and
Close collaboration in our global team and together continuous communication towards
the businesses and supporting functions in the SMO countries, active training for focus
groups and awareness campaigns
Monitor, evaluate and implement global/national Export Control regulatory changes
Participate in internal reviews and external audits; take and follow-up corrective actions
Enforcement of defined governance activities, e.g., spot checks and training to ensure
Export Control compliance based on guidelines.
Perform day-to-day operation in following areas: Sanction Party Screening, evaluation of
contractual clauses, product classification (AL+ECCN), block orders release, Export
Control license application, etc.
Detailed description of work process and routine:
Advising the business on specific issues related to business cases and projects,
performing risk analysis and implement customized risk mitigation measures
- Involvement in the process of checking end use and end user, according to Export
- Decisions arising from Sanction Party Screening for any blocked orders
- Material/software/technology classification according to Export Control regulation,
- Preparation and handling of export control licenses as well as fulfillment of license
conditions – if relevant
- Contribution to Export Control processes setup within LC CO SMO EC
- Continuous information updates within organization
- Define requirements/plan for EX training programs and perform trainings in assigned
areas of responsibilities e.g., to employees in Business units and assigned Export
Control Associates in multiple countries.
- Consultancy to LC CO SMO EX for any Export Control related regulation. Perform spot
checks, surveys, and self-assessments in responsible areas
- Define requirements for internal review program and perform reviews according to Siemens Mobility.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Appreciated is commercial education or training on higher level appreciated, e.g., with
focus areas of project management, finance, logistics appreciated: Bachelor´s degree or above in international trade/Legal or relevant major.
Best would be 3 - 5 years related professional experience in trade compliance
(Export Control related) or contract management, Order Processing, Supply
Chain related positions.
Good and solid knowledge of Export Control regulations, including EU export
control regulation, US EAR. Knowledge of Export Control regulation in assigned
areas of responsibilities is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English and eventual German language. Knowledge in
any other languages of the assigned areas e.g., Russian or Spanish is appreciated
Ability to work with global team and cross function team under pressure with proactive
and self-motivated manner.
Good presentation skills e.g., for In-Person Trainings of Virtual-In-Person Trainings via
? Strong IT skill (MS office and in SAP)
