Then come in and join our Asia Pacific team as Head of Collaborations – Advanced Therapies (AT), Asia Pacific (AP) to develop and implement strategy for AT Collaborations AP region.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • You will evaluate, initiate, and coordinate AT collaboration projects in the Japan and AP region to:
    • obtain clinical feedback from collaboration partners on AT products and prototypes and return this feedback to AT Innovation.
    • promote Siemens Healthineers prototypes and products in scientific publications and at clinical conferences.
    • manage and develop new productive partnerships with AT KOL collaboration partners while ensuring their loyalty to Siemens Healthineers and their satisfaction.
    • co-develop ideas, workflows and realize prototypes jointly with collaboration partners.
    • conduct regional technology scouting focusing on major clinical conditions.
  • You will support AT Business in the AP through presentations on AT Innovation topics and technologies to customers, collaboration partners and at Siemens Healthineers sponsored events.
  • You will manage AP AT Collaboration team members; recruit open positions and train new hires; manage skills, expertise and promote the careers of team members.
  • You will manage SHS AP budget including regular forecasting, making project commitment decisions, management of invoices, and change in budgetary goals.
  • You will create and update processes for SHS AP AT Innovations; interface to legal, compliance, and regulatory departments in Siemens Healthineers and at collaboration sites.
  • You will interface and manage relationships with SHS AT Innovation and Heads of other functions at AT headquarters.
  • You will be the interface to SHS AP AT heads and Business Line’s heads, and PSE’s to ensure coordination of research activities with business activities.
  • Interface and manage relationships with collaborations teams from other Business Line’s.

Your qualifications and experiences:
  • You hold a successfully completed Ph.D. Degree in Engineering,
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in R&D, Innovation, or collaboration in the medical industry. Experience working with X-ray Angiography, or other minimally invasive therapy and surgery imaging modalities; frequent interaction with medical doctors and other medical staff.

Your personality and skills:
  • You possess superb verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • You possess excellent people management and team leadership skills.
  • You possess highly polished customer and stakeholder managements skills.
  • You possess highly developed contract negotiation skills.
  • You possess deep understanding of the clinical therapy field and minimally invasive medicine.
  • You possess deep understanding of the technologies behind AT products and clinical prototypes.
  • You possess deep understanding of the restrictions and limitations on the workflow in a clinical environment.
  • You possess high integrity and solid understanding of ethical and regulatory constraints in a clinical research environment.
  • You will be required to travel of up to 50% in the region to current and potential collaboration site and to attend internal workshops and medical conferences (when travel becomes widely possible again).
