How will you help change the future with us? This is your role;


Large scale simulations of autonomous vehicles (AV) in a complete digital twin of a deployment location are central in our technical approach. Our automotive engineering team is responsible for the development of this digital twin solution, which is based on a co-simulation of a micro traffic simulator and a high-fidelity vehicle simulator, and an open source or commercial AV control stack. Our Senior Automotive Engineer masters the complete technical solution and will play a leading role in helping our (mostly non-technical) customers understand the value and quality of our solution.

  • Define and implement the roadmap for continuous improvement of the fidelity and efficiency of our AV simulation solution
  • Contribute to the strategic activities of the team as the leading voice for translating customer requirements into concrete action items for the automotive engineering team
  • Work in lock step with the VP of Engineering and the Analytics Lead to implement the day-to-day activities of the engineering team
  • Support the sales process in external customer engagements and proactively convert customer requirements into technical solutions that provide real customer added value  
  • Design and implement standard interfaces to Integrate new commercial and/or open-source AV stacks into our Software in the Loop simulation environment
  • Integrate new AV stacks in our solution, and tune our AV stacks to reflect the behavior of deployed AV solutions
  • Spot, identify and incorporate new solutions in research and industry in high-fidelity AV simulation to further improve our customer attractiveness
  • Drive the pulse and culture of the engineering team by developing, and retaining the top AV and simulation talents


The skills you’ll bring to move the Autonomous Vehicle world forward.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated AV engineering, automotive engineering experience
  • At least a masters university degree in AV engineering, simulation, or similar technology field
  • A good understanding of the architecture of complete AV systems, combined with in-depth knowledge to dive deep into any technical detail of such systems
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coaching (junior) engineers
  • Strong strategy development skills, with the ability to independently take complex, ambiguous subjects, craft a plan of action to evaluate risks and opportunities and convert
  • them into sound proposals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - can professionally explain complex topics and ideas in a clear and concise manner to customers and investors
  • Structured thinking to easily break down complex problems and propose alternative solutions: find the best solution for the problem at hand and the constraints given
  • Fully trained in the use of modern development tools and processes, IT systems and operating systems required to do the job.
  • Fluency in English; German and any other language would add to the cultural fabric of our team
  • Technical understanding of modern cloud architectures, -technologies, and -simulation solutions is not a must, but makes your profile even more enticing
