As part of global engineering services team, works productively with Engineers, Project & Program Managers, Engagement Managers, Sales and other internal & external interfaces to support the customer to achieve their objectives. Responsible for the delivery of individual project consulting and technical expertise in Engineering Services, executing standard, defined test and simulation tasks of low to medium technical complexity, ensuring quality results that enable SISW to deliver successful solutions and provide value to the customer. In line with project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer good practice usage. Support engagement managers and sales for development high quality offering and statement of works and managing customer expectations and technical risks during the sales phase. Works on projects/assignments of moderate scope. Works under self management. Actively participates in the Engineering Services Community of Practice, leveraging technical best practices and templates to deliver project tasks, providing experiences to support continual improvement.
The System Simulation group in Siemens Engineering Services (ES) organization is looking for an experienced system engineer who can:
Develop System/ Sub-system/ Component level models using Simcenter Amesim for mechanical, hydraulic, electric, … systems.
Analyze system steady state / dynamic response in time domain / frequency domain.
Analyze vehicle dynamics attributes such as Handling, Ride, Driveability, NVH, …
Create system level architectures and manage models with the focus on model reusability, multi-variant analysis, …
Demonstrate working Knowledge of the above said in Model Based Development process.
Support the analysis of a given engineering requirement and the selection of appropriate level of modeling complexity.
Support the optimization of designs through system models.
Execute and manage projects independently; communicate expectations, plan, and requirements; also coordinate all work within the scope of assigned projects.
Master’s Degree (M.E.,/M.Tech.,) / Bachelor’s Degree (B.E.,/B.Tech.,) in any core engineering discipline (Mechanical / Automotive / Aeronautical / …) with 10+ years of experience in system modeling in 1D simulation platform.
Experience with 1D System simulation software such as Amesim / GT Suite / Dymola, Matlab /Simulink etc.,
Possess a good fundamental understanding of and an open mindset to learn and contribute towards other engineering domains, as may be needed in our engineering services business.
Good understanding of fundamentals for mathematical modelling for Mechanical / Hydraulic/Electrical Systems/ Sub-systems.
Experience with Electric vehicle systems modeling and simulation with some knowledge in electrical and electronics will be an advantage.
Exposure to other 3D based simulation (MBD /CFD) will be an added advantage.
Good communication and soft skills to interact and collaborate effectively with the global teams as well as the global customers.
