Job Description

The Quality Position requires an individual who actively participates in the development of inspection guidelines, instructions, and training material.

- Leads critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.

-  Works independently to perform complex and critical inspection processes, requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.

- Trains and/or oversees the work of less experienced inspectors

- May conduct first article inspection of parts and assemblies.

- Prepares, approves inspection reports, charts, and records regarding quality measures, conformance status, and quantity of material processed.

- Leads root cause evaluations and corrective actions utilizing quality tools.

- Prepares charts and simple statistical analysis.

- Coordinates ordering of consumables and small tools for department use

- Ensures assigned areas meet 6S standards and submits equipment maintenance requests

- Works effectively in a Team environment

- Safety First Approach

- Understanding of QMS, Microsoft, SAP and ISO standards

- Well versed in Metrology tools for measurements and inspections

- Must have good handwriting skills

Must have the ability to solve complex practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.  You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
