Research Engineer – Software developer for Digital twin knowledge management

Our team has focus on developing innovative technologies in the field of simulations and digital twins. We are part of wider Simulation and Digital Twin research team where approaches such as physics-based data learning models, heterogenous computing architectures, AI / ML for the accelerated simulation, advanced visualization are primary research topics.

This is your role. What part will you play?

  • Research and development in Simulation knowledge management
  • Develop and prototype knowledge networks for Digital Twin(s)
  • Research and Development in the areas of knowledge extraction and reasoning
  • Keeping abreast with the State of the art in the area of Digital twin applications
  • Development of Proof of Concepts in areas related to machine learning and image processing related tasks
  • Implementation of web applications for advanced engineering data visualization
  • Evaluation and Development of new graph-based solutions (in knowledge representation & reasoning)
  • Implement of custom software components to address requirements not handled by off-the-shelf systems (e.g., processing domain specific data, handling large volume data, etc)
  • Work on existing R&D projects with a focus on delivering results, help define future projects and help shape roadmaps for the technological area
  • Collaborate, research, and publish findings at various internal and external forums
  • Interact with customers to understand their difficulties and suggest line of action
  • Work closely with customers to deliver outstanding solutions in business projects and integrate them with customer workflows

Technical Expertise

  • Experience in the simulation and Digital twin domain
  • Proficient in Python, Python Flask or Django framework
  • Experience in React JS, D3.js
  • Experience with graph algorithms
  • Experience in product lifecycle knowledge graphs : Knowledge representation and reasoning
  • Experience with graph databases is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with machine learning and Deep Learning, including hands on implementation experience
  • Excellent quantitative proficiency
  • Ability to come up with custom algorithms
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science/Electrical/Electronics and Communication/Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace engineering
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience of 2-3 years
  • Demonstrated experience in development of custom algorithms
  • Demonstrated experience in programming for real world applications
  • Interest in working on innovative industrial products and projects
  • Interest in contributing to technical papers at prestigious conferences and journals
