What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: 

This position supports the Supply Chain management function of Building Products – Americas based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.  The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent administration and teamwork skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to work effectively within a manufacturing and warehouse setting.  This position will assist with coordinating and scheduling meetings, processing weekly payroll for manufacturing/warehouse teams, procuring supplies needed to support the supply chain management team, creating daily/weekly/monthly reports supporting operations and the on-boarding process for all new employees in the supply chain organization

Responsibilities:

  • Process the weekly payroll for Manufacturing and Warehouse teams. Support employees and supervisors with payroll/check issues
  • Manage and maintain Outlook calendars, coordinating with other administrative assistants on priorities and conflicts
  • Create Daily, Weekly, and monthly reports to support Production operations. These reports mainly include Efficiency report, Absenteeism report, Headcount report and Overtime report, etc
  • Support the Supervisors and employees with SAP reports, Cycle count adjustments, auditing inventory related reports and solving computer related issues.
  • Make business travel arrangements and manage travel itineraries
  • Help plan and coordinate onsite or offsite quarterly/annual strategic meetings and team building events, including preparation of meeting materials
  • Manage departmental purchasing, generate expense reports ensure department invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Supporting the new full time Siemens hire with documents verification (I-9 and E-verify) and setting up into Siemen’s systems including coordination with HR on new hire paperwork
  • Serve as onsite support with a team of administrative assistants, partnering with onsite Facilities/Building Management for things such as space management, meeting & event planning, and catering
  • Any custom reporting and analysis requested by Supply Chain supervisors/managers

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting – working in the operations is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
