Join our UK Communications team as a Communications & Editorial Manager and help us re-imagine the world by engaging with customers, prospects and the communities where we work through storytelling and news management, showcasing our innovation, sustainability and technology leadership.  

This is a key role within the UK Communications team reporting to the Head of Content and News. The role is based at our UK HQ in Manchester so would suit someone based in the North-West. At Siemens there is a culture of flexible working across the company with two to three days a week working remotely. The company follows the latest current working from home guidance from the UK Government related to Covid-19.

You will have a proven track record in writing clear, engaging and informative content and developing and implementing creative communications strategies.

Change the future with us. 

 
• Planning and managing the editorial calendar across our main internal and external channels.
• Writing blogs, thought-leadership pieces and speeches for the UK Executive Team and CEO.
• Supporting the Head of Content & News with proactive and reactive media relations.
• Providing coaching and training for executives and experts and helping them build their own profiles with stakeholders and on social media especially Twitter, LinkedIn, Amplify and Ingenuity.
• Measuring existing channel strategy and launching new targeted approaches where necessary. 
• Managing PR agencies and a network of freelancers in the creation of content assets and leading on specific projects, plans and activities.


We don’t need superheroes, just super minds

You will have a proven track record in: 
• Flexible writing style, from presentations, news, features, speeches and blogs. 
• Coaching and mentoring using industry best-practice across internal communications, marketing, and public relations.
• Media relations, writing for UK press, pitching story ideas and handling journalist queries professionally.  
• Employee engagement and internal communications channels.
• Competence with analytics and the confidence to interpret data and advise stakeholders.
• Adept at use of digital channels, content management systems and planning tools such as Sprinklr.
