Associate Digital Consultant / Digital Consultant

This role is part of the digital services team at Siemens ASEAN.

This role is customer facing and works in alignment with the digital service sales lead, the extended digital services hub team and regional management to deliver digital transformation engagements with industrial customers, utilizing co-creation techniques and drilling down technological roadmaps into viable and practically implementable projects.

The main goal for this role is to ensure customer success and satisfaction with Siemens technology and service by developing new use cases, customized or scalable solutions and thinking outside the box to connect the various dots.

You will be part of a digital service team ecosystem which works across the value chain of different industries and provide customers with technology as a service.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop new digital transformation strategies, roadmaps, capabilities, and competitive differentiators for our industrial / manufacturing clients
  • Inspire our clients to adopt new innovative approaches and business models, while supporting them during concept, pilot and implementation phases
  • Identify and co-create economically viable digital innovations with potential customers, analyze customer value-drivers
  • Lead the implementation of digital OT and ICT solutions across industrial enterprises, which includes project planning & controlling, risk management and vendor engagements
  • Develop, test, and refine value proposition for and with stakeholder groups, evaluate user needs and requirements, assess technical & commercial feasibility, and elaborate relevant contractual, revenue, and pricing models
  • Gather, refine, validate and prioritize business and technical requirements and translate them into product backlogs / functional specifications, for the design and development team
  • Participate in and contribute to solution architecture design, based on requirements backlog, and drive the delivery of the solution
  • Develop hands-on approaches, business plans and strategies in close collaboration with our clients and present your project results to top management
  • Assume full responsibility and ownership for the delivery of your project module(s)
  • Establish solid frameworks and methodology tools for design thinking and co-creation in industrial IoT
  • Support conversations with CXOs, and structure compelling proposals to customers for Digital Enterprise Service offerings and to respond to RFIs and RFPs
  • Lead, guide, challenge and coach other team members to support their professional development
  • Engage with internal and external senior stakeholders and work closely with client teams
  • Actively extend our digital eco-system (industry, government, tech and start-up community)
  • Drive thought leadership on service digitalization and leverages synergies in the global Siemens network

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s 2-5 years of outstanding performance as a consultant at a top-tier consulting firm or profound experience in a service design/ digital transformation/ corporate venture / innovation / enterprise and/or IoT solution implementation in a B2G or B2B environment for a renowned industrial enterprise and/ or startup. 
  • Must have a Masters or MBA degree or are about the graduate from it. Outstanding university degree ideally in business, engineering, natural science, or IT from a globally renowned university, ideally combined with an MBA of a top business school
  • Knowledge / exposure to relevant industry 4.0 / IoT technologies such as automation, IoT instrumentation, communication protocols, AI / ML, robotics, 3D printing, cloud/edge computing etc. is desirable
  • Strong interest and first exposure across different industry verticals, particularly Infrastructure, Smart Cities/Estates, Manufacturing (discrete / process industries) and/or Utilities. Knowledge of smart industry maturity indexes such as SIRI is a plus
  • Experience with releasing and rolling out enterprise ICT solutions across an organization
  • Experience with implementing IT-OT integration projects involving elements such as ERP, MES and industrial IoT-data based applications
  • Relevant experience in project management. Appropriate certification (e.g. PMI, SCRUM) is desirable
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, ability to rapidly learn complex topics
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong entrepreneurial "can-do" mindset and a result-oriented approach
  • Highly developed communication skills in English
  • Comfortable to work at and to build trust with senior levels
  • Team player mindset with strong interpersonal skills and willingness to travel internationally
