Your new field of activity

As Material Flow Simulation Expert (m/f/d), the following tasks are part of your area of responsibility:

  • Creation and using of complex simulation models for system evaluation and specification of control strategies.
  • Identification and implementation of optimization potential during the planning and implementation of material handling systems.
  • Development, maintenance and documentation of the simulation models and supporting software tools.
  • Development, programming and documentation of software modules taking into account a multitude of linked functions and dependencies.
  • Creation, maintenance and documentation of emulation models as well as the support of In-house software tests.
  • Support with the definition of internal and external system acceptance tests and with the analysis and evaluation of system tests.
  • Preparation of proposals (offer text and calculation) for simulation projects.

Your qualifications

  • You have successfully completed a master degree in engineering, mathematics or a comparable field of study.
  • You bring along programming experience and expert knowledge in at least one programming language such as C++, Java or C#.
  • You also have experience with software design and creation of reusable standard software modules.
  • Structured and methodical work approach combined with implementation and enforcement abilities are one of your skills.
  • We require a very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) as well as a good knowledge of German.
  • You are willing to travel around the globe from time to time.
  • You are a dedicated, responsible team player who always keeps an eye on goals and is able to inspire others for joint projects.
  • Your profile is rounded off by strong communicational as well as intercultural skills.

In addition, the following knowledge and skills are advantageous:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of material flow simulation or commissioning or integration of material handling systems.
  • Experience with simulation tools for material flow simulation (preferably Demo3D, Plant Simulation, AutoMOD or FlexSim).
  • Knowledge of SQL-based databases and AutoCAD / Revit.
  • Knowledge of processes within material flow systems, e.g. in airports or ports (baggage or freight handling systems).
