We are seeking candidates who are passionate about healthcare, about communication to our global audience of internal stakeholders, and about supporting leadership with deep communications expertise. If this is you, we have an opportunity for you.  The Ultrasound Business Area of Siemens Healthineers is looking for an experienced employee communications professional who can support our global communications needs. This position can be based in Mountain View, CA, or Issaquah, WA.

Leveraging strategic communication experience with a focus on internal and employee communications, the candidate is responsible for hands-on development and leadership of internal and employee communications strategies, messaging, policies, and programs to foster an engaging workplace culture.

As a Head of Internal and Employee Communications, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and setting the Communications mission and strategy for Employees as well as Leadership.
  • Leading and developing internal and employee communication strategies aimed at building an open and engaging internal culture.
  • Actively driving, creating, and delivering day-to-day communications to meet numerous needs and deadlines.
  • Managing and collaborating with others as needed.
  • Ensuring communications is delivered through appropriate global network channels to achieve worldwide consistency.
  • Serving as a key resource and advisor to the Executive Team to enhance employee morale and focus through high impact communications delivered through multiple channels (town halls, videos, broadcasts, newsletters, personal communication, digital).
  • Ensuring consistent messaging with internal employee communications aligned with external messaging and positioning as well as compliance to respective local regulations.
  • Establishing rules/guidelines for internal communications.
  • Contributing to the development of strategies and advising senior managers in creating and refining key employee messages, speeches, and presentations.
  • Leveraging best practices including digital, web, chat, broadcast, events, manager training, seminars, etc.
  • Providing specialized guidance and training for executive staff spanning speaking and internal communications. 

Candidates must have the following capabilities and experience:

  • Ability to interface with senior leaders and global colleagues in a professional manner
  • Creative thinker, strategic planner, able to pivot in an agile manner
  • Collaborative team player with experience collaborating with cross-functional global team members
  • Adept at conflict resolution 
  • Effective writer with strong verbal communication, influencer, and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding and demonstrated experience managing internal employee communications programs with an ability to impact internal culture
  • Able to show proven ability to operate an accelerated pace and meet internal communication and business objectives

Candidates must meet these Requirements

  • BA/BS Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent; MBA highly desirable
  • 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as listed above  
  • Global corporate experience is essential
  • Management and leadership communication experience required
  • Experience in the healthcare field a plus 
  • Travel is a requirement, both for presence in offices in Mountain View and Issaquah but also to other locations as needed.
