Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for problem solving, risk assessment, coordination of immediate actions and internal communication for a diverse product portfolio of IvD products for blood coagulation within the manufacturing process
  • You are the first point of contact for the production of hemostasis diagnostic reagents in the event of deviations in the manufacturing process and quickly help to find the optimal solution for customers in the event of internal and external complaints
  • You will apply your expertise in state-of-the-art methods in the field of bioprocess engineering and around data collection, analysis and interpretation as well as design of experiment and efficiently implement process optimizations together with our production teams. You enjoy leading cross-functional project teams with the goal of optimizing and modernizing our manufacturing processes, especially in bulking processes, and establishing new manufacturing processes and methods at the Marburg site
  • With your process know-how you support our product experts in root cause analyses and implement measures to eliminate quality restrictions in the long term
  • You are informed about state-of-the-art technologies and enthusiastically keep your know-how up to date. You drive innovation and evaluate new technologies for suitability in our production
  • You represent your manager in technical matters - also in international teams. The cooperations include the optimization of our best-selling products

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in science or engineering or data science with specialization in bioprocess engineering, biotechnology or chemical engineering and are familiar with proteins, in particular the proteins of the coagulation cascade, or have 5 years of professional experience in the field of pharmaceuticals, medical technology or diagnostics. Experience in the context of a thematically related PhD can be credited
  • You have gained relevant experience with bioprocesses, multivariate data analysis and interpretation, and protein biochemical analysis techniques and can apply this expertise to the optimization and design of biotechnological manufacturing processes
  • Bring a basic understanding of chromogenic, enzymatic, and coagulation-based assays. Explicit knowledge of hemostasis is not mandatory for entry, but must be learned

Your attributes and skills:

  • You have the ability to grasp complex problems quickly and can confidently explain your analyses and findings to a broad audience of diverse expertise
  • You enjoy analyzing problems in a structured way and can inspire yourself and your team members with a fact-based root cause analysis even in highly complex situations
  • Business fluent German and English are a prerequisite
  • Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work on a mobile basis (within Germany) up to an average volume of 80% of the respective working hours
