This position is ideally located in Knoxville, TN, however we would be happy to locate it at Hoffman Estates, IL. A relocation package will be provided to out of state candidates.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior level Software Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with other architects and the development teams to define the software architecture for all product lines.
  • Championing for the system’s non-functional requirements to ensure that the system exceeds our customer expectations and can sustainably meet our business needs.
  • Guiding, coaching and motivating other architects and developers over the entire lifetime of a project to enable, support, and enforce all architectural aspects
  • Working with our Development and DevOps teams to relentlessly improve scalability, reliability, and quality of our continuous integration pipeline utilizing the cloud, virtual simulators, and physical prototypes
  • Interfacing with external business partners including those in Germany, China and India

  • Have a passion for software architecture / development, code quality and fast quality feedback cycle (CI)
  • Have strong planning, communication and presentation skills, and the capability to listen and influence.  Excellent communications skills are an absolute must
  • Ability to manage the workload for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Have experience in healthcare, the FDA’s GMP, or have worked in another regulated environment

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • Strong development (C#, .Net, Typescript) and testing experience using Microsoft technologies
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Lean leadership principles and the architect’s role within an Agile environment.  Knowledge of the SAFe methodology is a huge plus
  • Bachelor's degree in technological or related field and a minimum of 8 years of software development / architecture experience OR
  • Master’s degree in technological or related field and a minimum of 5 years of software development / architecture experience
