Interested in learning and guiding the development of a very sophisticated engineering software product? This is the opportunity for you! The Release Manager for Updates(RMU) leads scheduling, planning, tracking and delivery of the NX product as customers update versions. As a RMU, you'll be working with partners at all levels of Siemens Digital Industries Software to manage risks and coordinate across teams and functions to ensure smooth, high quality product releases.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field preferred, with 3 years proven experience

  • Coordinate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Manages risk and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Ensure teams and products follow legal requirements for release. Must be results focused, organized and able to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Coordinate Early pre-production deliverables for customer evaluation
  • Communicate all key release plans, commitments, and changes and negotiate change through the stakeholders.
  • Remove roadblocks that prevent production teams from performing to their highest potential.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct release reviews with executive management
  • Experience in releasing software - 2 cycles minimum
  • US citizenship or naturalization required
Skills
  • AGILE experience with development teams preferred
  • Jira/Confluence and/or Polarion experience preferred
  • Ability to lead across all levels of the company

  • Great attitude and a critical thinker

The majority of time spent in this position is in managing projects. The primary and majority function of the job is to manage a team. Responsible for the management and delivery of mid to large business or technical projects, and the planning and coordinating of mid to large programs or releases within the established timeframe from initiation through delivery on schedule and within budget. The project may have well-defined dependencies on other areas/projects. Interacts with the project sponsor or program manager. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Responsible to lead project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget through effective management of the project scope, budget, plan, resource, issues, and deliverables. Works with minimal supervision on complex projects with latitude for independent judgment. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency.
