You will be the owner of a SAM@Siemens IT Service (SAM: Software Asset Management) which provides software licenses and software services, which our businesses need for success.

Operational responsibility ‘end-to-end’ for software

  • Software license and service provisioning: You make sure that employees of all Siemens units have fast and easy access to software they need for their business
  • Transparency: With your service you exactly monitor the usage of your software in use for Siemens globally: who, when, what
  • Be Siemens. Be Compliant. You assure license compliance for business-critical software that is in use by Siemens employees world-wide
  • Software optimization: You are continuously questioning if the money for your software is invested best, or alternative software would increase business value and/or reduces cost
  • You assure adherence to contractual terms and SLA with the software providers
  • You assure cost coverage of your services via appropriate charging back-to-back with all Siemens Affiliates using your services
  • You provide support as an expert (3rd level) upon user or stakeholder request
  • You accompany licensing matters for integrations and divestitures

Strategic responsibility ‘end-to-end’ for software

  • Anticipate business needs! You enrich the dialog with the business about software that adds value, clarify the demand world-wide, and check about business requirements
  • You accompany contract negotiations by Siemens Supply Chains Management and make sure that the negotiation strategy is in line with Siemens IT strategy
  • You ensure approval and signature of the contracts for your software portfolio
  • You manage software providers and perform market research for driving innovation and changes well in advance of contract renewal dates
  • You consult selected software business units by sharing expertise you have gained from the external market
You are exactly the right person for this position if you bring the following with you:
  • A Master’s degree in business administration, business informatics, computer science or related subjects proves your professional background
  • You have longterm experience in IT Service Management or a similar function with respective proven knowledge in IT software, cloud computing, Software Asset Management and Provider Management
  • You are passionate in your ownership for the business-critical IT Service which provides software licenses and software services to Siemens and its affiliated companies
  • We see your distinct soft skills: ownership culture, service orientation, teamwork, change management and communication
  • Improve your services and talk about it! You are engaged to coordinate a greater team involved in software agreements such as procurement, finance, legal, tax, cybersecurity, and data protection
  • A growth mindset supports you to permanently adjust to the ever-changing challenges of the Siemens businesses and how software accelerates everything
  • You think in terms of targets, put customer value added first, and you like to work in an international team in a collaborative manner
  • Your business-fluent English and German enables you to collaborate and communicate with colleagues in an international environment
