The role
As Supply Chain Management Specialist, you are responsible for the functional excellence in the procurement-functions for Siemens Nederland N.V. and her affiliated entities in the Netherlands. 
In this role you initiate improvements in the areas of digitalization, governance, processes and sustainability. You support the commodity managers and the entities by adding value to their activities. This means being the gate-keeper on all kind of quality-issues related to procurement (such as storing masterdata and adherence to guidelines) and working on improvements in processes. Our communication platform, Sharepoint, needs to be refreshed on relevant content and processes, so the user-community knows where to find up-to-date information. Siemens is setting high-reaching targets on sustainability. Our suppliers have a major impact on these targets, so we have to collaborate closely in defining new measures to decrease our footprint. You will also educate colleagues on processes and new developments. 

This role is based our of our The Hague office. You will work together with Head of Procurement, Henk van den Brink, and his hardworking team of Buying Professionals: Kees, Michelle, Barbra and René. You will be part of an international community of functional excellence colleagues, in which knowledge and best practices are shared.

Your tasks:
  • Analyzing and optimizing the organization´s processes to enhance performance.
  • Providing analyses as required by Supply Chain Management.
  • Proposing and taking ownership for defined and assigned improvement projects.
  • Establishing SCM oriented customer relations in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Cooperating with the internal Procurement, Controlling and Logistics functions to ensure acceptance of and adherence to SCM processes, guidelines, and tools.
  • Contributing to projects, work groups and the training of new employees in the area of expertise.

Wat do we need?

  • A Masters degree.
  • A diploma for NEVI 
  • Understanding of Source-to-Contract & Purchase-to-Pay processes
  • Knowledge of procurement-applications and how to execute audits to secure compliance to guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English & Dutch.
  • Experience with SAP is preferable.
