Bogies Service Center Group Lead 

Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience

Function / Degree Preferred
A.A. degree preferred or Technical/mechanical certification.

Key Responsibilities
 -Provides work assignments and work instructions to employees throughout each workday.  
 - Assists and trains employees in new job assignments.  
 - Coordinates work schedules with Assembly Team Manager (ATM), and maintains a daily work cell status.  
 - Performs quality checks on work being performed.  
 - Monitors employees' safety, quality, methods and output and assists the ATM in conducting regular safety meetings.
 - Reviews employee time records and other labor input documents.  
 - Assists employees in resolving problems that might arise within the station.    
 - Maintains a good understanding of Manufacturing Resources Planning (MRP) and other systems that support production activities.  
- Provide regular (in process) status to ATM or business agent.
- Ability to read and train others on drawings and spec sheets
-  Expected to contribute and maintain conditions that will ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, and/or different shifts as necessary to meet business critical requirements.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Cross training will be required to cover business needs.
- Must have extensive background and understanding of the Bogie manufacturing process. 
- Must have exceptional mechanical aptitude to make decisions within safety and quality specifications when faced with complex assembly/disassembly situations. 
- Other duties as assigned

Supervision Received
Works under little to no supervision

Complexity
Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. 

Direction of Others  
Will coach or train other team members and often operates in a work team environment providing guidance to lower level manufacturing employees.

Key Working Relationships
General day to day interfaces with Assembly staff, Purchasing staff, Customers and Suppliers.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move no more than 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to distinguish colors, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to wear any other required personal protective equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. 

The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, working both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/windy conditions. 

The employee occasionally works in high places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. 

The noise level in some working environments may exceed 85dB
