In Siemens Mobility, Siemens Limited India is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Rolling-stock Engineering, Gurgaon as a “System Engineer - FEA”. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development environment.

Primary responsibility is to Carry out static/transient, Linear/Non-linear FEA (Finite element analysis) of Rolling-stock Structures (e.g. Electrical cabinets, carbody, bogie frames, etc.) using commercial software such as ANSYS mechanical, ANSYS workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran & Abaqus.

·       Carry out static/transient, Linear/Non-linear FEA (Finite element analysis of Rolling-stock Structures (e.g. Electrical cabinets, carbody, bogie frames, etc.) using commercial software such as ANSYS mechanical, ANSYS workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran & Abaqus.

·       Perform durability assessment of structures including detailed weld assessments according to the standards.

·       Prepare and document FE calculation in the form of proof of strength report.

·       Participate and conduct strength assessment review at component level.

·       Seamless transfer of calculation input and output between design team and project lead respectively.

·       Set-up standard processes and knowledge documents for simulations of repeated kind of nature.

Use your skills to move the world forward

·       Mechanical Engineer graduate/Postgraduate from recognized college/university

·       More than 8 years of experience in CAE/FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for linear, Non- linear, static and Transient structural calculations.

·       Experience in FEA software ANSYS mechanical or ANSYS Workbench or NX-CAE, Nastran or Abaqus

·       Experience in Product Design in Rolling-stocks or Automotive.

·       Strong background in engineering Mechanics and mechanical design.

·       Experience in rolling-stock industry will be preferred

·       Should have good understanding of fatigue and durability.

·       Knowledge of DVS, IEC or EN standards will be preferred.

·       Good understanding of CFD will be considered as added advantage.

·       Strong soft personal skill i.e. team player, quick learner, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.

·       Strong traits of courage to take up new challenges and take up new things in proactive manner.

·       Inclination to learn CFD and take up CFD analysis as well.

·       Readiness to take up challenging opportunities from Crash simulation and various other types of simulation in new tools.

·       Inclination towards scripting and automation to improve processes.
