Junior Sales Engineer

Job Description


  • To prepare quotations and tender documents.
  • To be responsible for marking material such as brochures and updating web site with current events.
  • To prepare monthly reports
  • To generate orders and ensure Customer needs are fulfilled.


  • In consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, Engineers and Product Manager, prepare costings, selling prices and lead times for quotations and tenders.
  • With the Operations Manager ensure that all standard costs are up to date.
  • Prepare all quotations for both standard product and project work. Project work quoting will be assisted by an engineer.
  • To prepare all large tenders and bids. This includes the bid writing and formatting of tender proposals in a professional manner.
  • To be prepare and post ATC Social Media announcements on LinkedIn and ATC website.
  • Prepare power point presentations for the ATC product range.
  • Contract review of all incoming orders - these are to be reviewed against all quotations/tenders or standard product listing.
  • To process all sales inquiries and orders.
  • To ensure customer specifications are reviewed and interpreted correctly.
  • To liase with customers at all stages from quotation through to delivery.
  • In consultation with the Chief Executive Officer and Production Manager, review any special customer inspection requirements.
  • To assist the Operations Manager in developing the production schedule.
  • To prepare monthly reports for TfNSW
  • Prepare SRF forms for TfNSW
  • To liaise with our local and overseas distributors and sub-distributors
  • To provide the Chief Executive Officer with monthly Sales Reports and Sales Pipeline
  • To provide sales information for budget purposes.
  • To conduct activities in a safe, quality & environmentally responsible manner in accordance with Aldridge Traffic Controllers Quality, OH&S & Environmental policies and procedures.


  • To approve all orders for standard products.
  • To raise Concession Requests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tertiary education in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering.
  • Some internal sales experience is desirable but no critical.
  • Must have high skill levels in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have good written English and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a good eye for detail.
